			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;re a hardgainer and you want to gain muscle mass quickly the first and most important thing to remember is it all begins with your muscle gain diet.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s right.  The food you eat is more important than whatever muscle building supplement you use or muscle building program you may be doing.</p>
<p>The right muscle gain diet is the key to gain muscle mass if you are a hardgainer.</p>
<p>Here are a few gain muscle mass diet tips for hardgainers:</p>
<p>1. Don&#8217;t be afraid of eating.  If in doubt, eat.</p>
<p>2. As seen in 1., remember that you have a huge amount of latitude to eat more if you&#8217;re a hardgainer.  Go get those cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies.</p>
<p>3. If you&#8217;re gluten intolerant (and this applies equally if you&#8217;re not) remember to eat those bags of low-salt potato chips that are affordable and high calorie. They have tons of carbs so you can really stuff yourself with them.  Old Dutch brand even has a good dose of vitamin C and E per serving.</p>
<p>4. Ice cream.  Should I repeat that?</p>
<p>5. Enjoy yourself.  Enjoy eating, if possible.  Try to have good tasting foods that make you want to eat more. Eat more of those foods.  Find your favorites and return to them as much as you can.</p>
<p>6. Workout regularly but don&#8217;t overdo it.  If you&#8217;re just getting used to finding out how to use a muscle gain diet for hardgainers it&#8217;s easy to think you can or need to increase your training.  This is just not so.  Many hardgainers recover slowly, so reducing the workouts can be more helpful for growth.</p>
<p>Now apply your new knowledge to gain muscle mass.  Remember: if you&#8217;re a hardgainer the secret is in your muscle gain <em><strong>diet</strong></em>.</p>

<li>They are portable.</li>

<li>You can move them around a lot more through a greater range of motion; this stimulates body and mind at more levels, from strength to coordination.</li>

<li>You can get very creative with them.  Curls, gripping exercises, shoulder press, side press, rows, laterals, etc.  Anything and everything, as long as you follow proper body dynamics.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>They work stabilizer muscles in a way that a bar does not.  A bar will make stabilizers lazy.  A bar is more static and will therefore make your lifting more static, less flexible, and this kind of more rigid approach will likely make you less likely to lift at all.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>They are closer to a weight in nature.  A bar with perfectly measured weights on either end would be a total anomaly in nature.  By contrast, dumbbells are like picking up something heavy that you happen to be able to grip.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>They are so <em>available</em>.  When they&#8217;re just sitting there in your room you&#8217;re way more likely to pick them up and move them around.  Motivation is usually the single biggest lacking factor preventing people from doing regular exercise, so the fact that you can just grab a dumbbell and lift it between video games, internet surfing, TV watching, drinking beer, or other productive activities is a major plus.</li>
</ul>
<p>Get your dumbbells and just lift them a few times a day.  You&#8217;ll get stronger and in better shape.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Modern wheat is not what it was before and I finally found a source confirming my observations that wheat changed specifically in the 1990s, exactly when I and others I knew started experience more severe reactions to wheat.  I knew something was up.</p>
<p>Here it is:</p>
<blockquote><p>In the 1980s, thousands of new wheat strains arose from hybridization experiments, many of them conducted in Mexico. Then, in the late 1980s, genetic engineering quietly got underway in which geneticists inserted or deleted single genes, mostly designed to generate specific characteristics, such as height, yield per acre, drought resistance, but especially resistance to various pesticides and weed killers. The fruits of these efforts were introduced into the market in 1994. Most of the genetically modified foods were thought to be only minor modifications of the unmodified original and thus no safety testing in animals or humans was conducted.</p>
<p>We now have many thousands of wheat strains that are different in important ways from original emmer, einkorn, and <em>Triticum aestivum</em> wheat. Interestingly, it has been suggested that einkorn wheat fails to provoke the same immune response characteristic of celiac disease provoked by modern wheat gluten, suggesting a different amino acid structure in gluten proteins. Another difference: Emmer wheat is up to 40% protein, compared to around 12% protein for modern wheat.</p>
<p>In other words, the wheat of earlier agricultural humans, including the wheat of Biblical times, is NOT the wheat of 2010. Modern wheat is quite a different thing with differing numbers of chromosomes, different genes due to human manipulation, varying gluten protein composition, perhaps other differences.</p>
<p>Somewhere in the shuffle and genetic sleight-of-hand that has occurred over the last 30 years, wheat changed. What might have been the &#8220;staff of life&#8221; has now become the cause of an incredible array of diseases of &#8220;wheat&#8221; intolerance.</p></blockquote>
<p>I noticed a strong shift in my ability to digest grain, specifically in the 90s.  This seemed to build over time for myself and others, as if we were constantly developing more reactions and intolerance to the &#8220;same&#8221; food, which was of course no longer the same.  Wheat can really mess you up now; it&#8217;s full of compounds that make people a bit drugged, like on a kind of opium.  Also it can be damaging to the stomach and impair digestion.</p>
<p>This is just the beginning.  As we allow untested genetic engineering of foods into our lives bizarre and unhealthy reactions will result.</p>
