			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is a constant problem with psychic phenomena, claims of the paranormal, and claims of having psychic abilities.</p>
<p>As you look into them in more detail the evidence evaporates.</p>
<p>The people who seem to be most prone to claiming to be psychic are often disturbed or have some personal advantage they get from the claims.</p>
<p>Oddly why would anyone waste energy on claims of psi if you actually were psi?  The benefits of being psychic would so overwhelming you certainly wouldn&#8217;t need to talk about it.</p>
<p>Yet most of those who claim it get almost all their benefit from claiming &#8216;special powers&#8217;; they get social benefits more from the claims of being psychic than anything else.</p>
<p>The argument is often presented that everyone has these abilities but the facts do not support this in any meaningful, reliable, or regular way. Just try learning it and doing some psychokinesis or making money with it.  You will be waiting for awhile.</p>
<p>I have had a lengthy exchange with Dean Radin recently, who is one of best known researchers on psi in the world. This is a copy of some of my recent thoughts on psi and on Dean Radin&#8217;s book The Conscious Universe:</p>
<p>[Edit:  <em>I have been having an extensive conversation with Dean on his <a href="https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=16158865&amp;postID=891585353139609311&amp;pli=1" target="_blank">blog</a>.  Things are getting strange.</em></p>
<p><em>Yes, strange, and not in a good way.  To summarize briefly he has claimed that a certain person is an example of remote viewing used to make money.  However, when I examined the data it showed conflation of data - essentially the overall score was a mix of the supposed trading along with general Remote Viewing trials.  Also, there was no information presented supporting the actual commodity trading.</em></p>
<p><em>I won't get into the details here, but the simple version is it is easy to make $100K trading if you start with 2 million.  Without details you have nothing, no supporting data.</em></p>
<p><em>Of course regardless people can make up the data, but in these cases even the data that IS presented is basically disproving the claims.</em></p>
<p><em>Later Dean posted another site as an example and again two of the three people involved with this other project involving horse racing and psi said they had not made money with the Remote Viewing.</em></p>
<p><em>In both cases the people who were leading the workshops are the ones who were supposedly making the money from psi.  But obviously they have the most incentive to claim this - they make money from teaching workshops.  And in one case the data was not fully supportive of the claims; in the other case the two main other students/practitioners openly said they weren't making money!</em></p>
<p><em>I'm worried about a professional researcher who is using these cases as examples of psi, as if it is proven and not just claims.  I am now more skeptical than ever.</em></p>
<p><em>I can no longer recommend this book.   I have read it and it is well argued and well written, so I will leave it on my page for now.  But I'm no longer sure about the information contained in the book.  Why are these claims being advanced for psi application in the real world and yet a more in-depth look shows many problems with the claims?</em>]</p>

<p>But we know this: we are all in mind, all the time.  All our experience is in mind.  You cannot escape being in consciousness all the time.</p>
<p>You may bang your foot on a rock… and it is in your mind (which does not mean it is fake, or a fantasy, or any other unjustified conclusion… but it is in your mind).</p>
<p>You may feel love, or hate, or pain, or pleasure… and it is in your mind.  You may think electrons exist, or atoms, or molecules, or scientific models and think that this is ‘real’… but it is all in your mind.</p>
<p>What is in your mind may be in the minds of others, or reflected in reality, or dreams, or shared by no other.  Regardless it is ALL in your mind.</p>
<p>You, we, are in consciousness first and always.</p>
<p>The Energy Body is my term for this reality that we are always in mind, always in the energy body, experiencing through it, experiencing as it.  Influenced by, embedded within, energy which contains first and foremost… mind-consciousness-awareness; thoughts and feelings!</p>
<p>The Way is the way of waking up to this true, obvious reality and recognizing it for what it is, of letting the preconceptions, models, beliefs, language traps, and all else fall away to the greatest extent possible and claiming your true power.</p>
