The No Income Tax Party.
A simple solution to a complex problem. A new political party. One mission. One focus. Many tremendous, positive results.
We have to ask ourselves not how can we fiddle with this policy or that government program, but rather what can be done to increase our freedom, our sense of fairness, and our sense of unity? How do make government an ally instead of an irritant, or worse, an oppressor?
There need to be limits on power, but not necessarily limits on our aspirations.
There needs to be a government, but our true goal is the wise government of our own selves. For we know that if the people of any nation practice and value self-government then we have a nation of individuals who can choose and create any destiny and overcome any challenge.
It’s not yesterday. The world did not end in Y2K, nor at the turn of any millenium.
There are those who fear global warming, and those who fear nuclear war; those who think we will not last the century, and those who think we will not last the decade.
However, as a species, I have no doubt that we are here today. We are here today and we will likely be here tomorrow.
History shows us that while we will likely survive, our freedom is often at risk. This is such a time, when those who wish to take our freedom have many justifications and terrible conviction.
To defend freedom people of vision and intelligence must see the root of the problem, and to strike that root; to uproot what takes our freedom and plant firmly in the ground that which sets us free.
Without income tax we limit the power of the state to a reasonable size.
Without income tax we keep the full value and productivity of our labor without sacrificing our personal earnings to a distant government.
Without income tax we no longer threaten each other with jail if we don’t give part of our labour to the government.
In the end we make the rules, although often we are tricked and told how complex things are, how nothing will work. Society, if you research your history, not only managed to succeed but had virtually every institution we care deeply about – libraries, universities, peace officers, fire departments, health care, post offices – before the introduction of income tax.
In the end we make the rules, and in some cases the answer is simple. This is such a case. All you need to do is become aware and make a decision to support the end of income tax. When the Party comes, support it, quietly or loudly, as you see fit.
When the Party comes, know it is time. Time to vote, if you choose, or speak, or be silent and just know.
But know what side you are on, and give that side the energy it needs to live and grow.
