Would you vote for The No Income Tax Party of your state, province, country?
A couple years ago I thought that up, and still think it may be the most effective political party to have as a general protest vote. It could have some surprising benefits:
1. It draws attention to income tax as one of, if not THE, worst tax there can be. Income tax is theft of your own labor and creativity, outright, and so reduces creativity and initiative.
2. Taxing resources or services, such as police and garbage collection, often come from municipal taxes. These taxes are at least based on taxing people for using up a resource that would otherwise be shared by all, in this case, homes and land. Much fairer to tax that than income.
3. It could be very eco-friendly. If you tax water use beyond personal use, land use, resource use, then it become clear we tax for using up environmental resources.
4. It’s a GREAT protest vote. Had enough of politicians wasting money? Being corrupt? Wasteful and endless government programs? Realistically taxes as a whole won’t go away anytime soon, but getting rid of income tax sure would create a fairer system with more justification.
Wherever you are if you think this is a good step forward then form your own No Income Tax Party of ___ and let freedom and justice increase!
